Death of Jeannie Quinn being investigated as homicide
6/26/2018 4:23:29 PM

The Abilene Police Department has upgraded the status of the investigation into the death of Jeannie Quinn, of Levelland, to a homicide.

In an update by Abilene Police Chief Stan Standridge, he confirms the investigation is no longer a suspicious death investigation but now a homicide investigation.

Quinn was reported missing to Levelland police on April 15. Her body was located "hanging in Abilene" on April 17, according to the update from Standridge. He said the cause of death is believed to be asphyxiation.

Last month, Abilene police seized two phones in reference to the case and were looking into two persons of interest. Now, the police department is looking at one person of interest in the case, Standridge said.

Standridge said the department is actively investigating the case and is waiting on lab submissions to come back.

what is going on with this case? Did they get Henderson's tests back from the lab? Was it a DNA test?
