Wine & Music Festival comes to Levelland this weeked

Wine, food and music – all with a Texas flavor  – will be showcased Friday and Saturday when the High Plains Winegrowers Wine & Music Festival comes to town.

The festival will be staged at the Mallet Event Center & Arena, 2320 S. U.S. Highway 385.

A trade show will be held in the Expo Hall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Admission is $5 per day and free for children under the age of 16.

The trade show will feature vendors with wine making equipment, vineyard supplies, farm machinery, men’s and women’s fashions, landscaping, patio ideas and more.

Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle.

The wines of such Texas wineries as Llano Estacado, Becker Vineyards, Duchman Family,

Messina Hof and Flat Creek Estate will be featured.

A GoTexan Food Court will  offer such foods as sausage, barbecue and ice cream.

The first ever International Barbecue Cookers Association Sanctioned BBQ Cookoff will start Friday.
