Grand jury hands down indicments
A grand jury handed down indictments for such offenses as burglary, forgery and theft Tuesday.
Carlos R. Castaneda, 27, of Whiteface was indicted for debit/credit card abuse.
A maintenance man at Community Signature in Levelland, he was suspected of stealing a company debit card and using it to make two purchases totaling $116.
Randy Rodriguez, 42, of Levelland was indicted for burglary of a habitation.
Olga R. Castellano found Rodriguez sitting on a couch in her home in early April. She yelled for him to get out.
Rodriguez left the home through a window and closed it behind him, a report said.
Benjamin Lee Ocanas, 39, of Sundown was indicted for theft of property valued at more than $1,500.
Ocanas was found outside an Avenue S property in early April with a trailer.
The property owner advised a lawman that no one was supposed to be there.
Ocanas said he was there to pick up pipe for a man in Seminole.
