Man arrested, meth seized in traffic stop
Police arrested a man and seized more than an ounce of methamphetamine during a traffic stop Tuesday night.
Isidro C. Jacquez, 28, of Levelland was arraigned for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, evading arrest, resisting arrest, unlawfully carrying a weapon and forgery-manufacture/possession of counterfeit money.
Justice of the Peace Jerry Boudreaux set bonds totaling $31,000.
Officers Kase Donahue and Jermaine Davis were on patrol when they saw Jacquez not wearing a seat belt in the vicinity of Wilson Street and Avenue S.
After stopping him, the lawmen noticed a .22-caliber rifle in the passenger’s seat. They also spotted an unopened can of beer in a cupholder of the Ford Explorer.
