Bluegrass aficionados from across the United States, Canada, and Australia arrived at South Plains College for their first day of classes at CampBluegrass this past Monday.
The camp is known for its top instructors and bluegrass specialists who impart not only their vast knowledge, but also their passion for the music.
Instructors at CampBluegrass include many of the top banjo, guitar, fiddle, bass, and dobro players in the United States. Most are also performing and recording artists, composers, and authors of instructional books. Many are former instructors at South Plains College and some are even graduates of the commercial music program at the college who have gone on to become professionals in the music industry.
Nate Lee, professional fiddle player, is a graduate of SPC who now lives n Nashville. Sterling Masat, a banjo instructor at SPC, also attended the camp prior to coming to SPC to teach.
