Levelland school board trustees approved the hiring of 11 new employees in a special meeting Monday.
With that action, the school district has hired about 56 new employees so far this year, said Supt. Kelly Baggett.
The district still has several positions to fill, including a math teacher at the high school, said Rodney Caddell, director of administrative services.
Richard Sandon, who was scheduled to begin teaching high school math, has resigned to go to work in the private sector.
Another employee, Krista Hernandez Ramos, is moving to Lamesa, Caddell said.
