Enrollment mostly steady for local schools

Enrollments for many local school districts remained steady this week, with a few – including
Levelland ISD – posting gains from a year ago.

As of Tuesday, LISD had enrollments of 3,100, an increase of 82 in a year’s time.

Enrollments were up for five  of six campuses.

Levelland ABC had 515 students, an increase of eight from last year.

Capitol Elementary had 335 students, up 14, while South Elementary had 361, an increase of 27 students.

‘We’re definitely filling up in those classes,’ said Rodney Caddell, director of personnel/administrative services.

Enrollments for the Intermediate School tallied 433, up from 409 last year. The Middle School had 643 students, down nine from a year ago.
