Former Ropes Gin employee indicted

A former employee of Ropes Farmers Co-op Gin was indicted Wednesday for the theft of funds from the business.

Henrietta (Henri) Davis Joplin, was indicted for misappropriation of fiduciary financial property, more than $100,000 and less than $200,000.

The alleged thefts occurred between 2005 and 2011.

Joplin, a Lubbock resident, had worked 26 years for the gin when she and three other employees were fired April 9, 2012.

The victims in the case are listed as the gin and the Ropes Ampride Store.
