County commissioners inked two local agreements during a routine meeting Monday.
The first agreement was with the Lubbock County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies and related services.
‘The bottom line is how much?’ asked Commissioner J.L. ‘Whitey’ Barnett.
Fellow Commissioner Larry Carter said the contract calls for expenditures between $500 and $4,000, depending on what the county might seek.
County Judge Larry Sprowls said it would vary, including $500 for blood tests for alcohol and drugs and up to a complete, detailed autopsy.
‘It depends on what we ask them to do,’ Sprowls said.
Carter made a motion to approve the agreement. It passed 3-0.
