Former county man killed in ATV crash in Oklahoma
A Lubbock man died Sept. 20 during an all-terrain vehicle crash in southeastern Oklahoma.
Jay Derek Lee, 26, was found dead after 6 p.m. on private property, about four miles west of Hochatown in McCurtain County.
The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, apparently suffered a head injury, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The former Hockley County resident was riding by himself on a dirt trail at the time. It had rained earlier in the day. There were no witnesses to the accident.
It is under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
