A hearing seeking an injunction against Mayor Waymon Jackson has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 1.
It was originally scheduled for Sept. 27 but was rescheduled on a request from District Judge Felix Klein of Littlfield.
The hearing will be at 1:30 p.m. in 286th District Court in Levelland.
Klein signed a temporary restraining order Sept. 19 after an application for it and temporary and permanent injunctions were filed here by Lubbock Attorney Dustin Brooks.
The order barrs Jackson from attending closed session meetings of the Levelland Economic Development Corporation and its legal counsel.
According to the order, Jackson cannot contact the LEDC board, two LEDC employees and the Brooks Firm PLLC of Lubbock.
Brooks filed the lawsuit after Jackson sat in on a closed session of the LEDC board and refused to leave.
