Carrie Kimbrell wins weekly ball contest

Week five of the Levelland News-Press football contest was competitive one for many.

Carrie Kimbrell was this week’s overall winner by going 18-2.

Nine players finished 17-3 and all tied for second place. The tie-breaker, which was 48 points, was the combined score of the Lobos 28-20 win over Fort Stockton.

Kelly Lucero and John Hodges each had a tie-breaker guess of 45 points. The second and third place prizes of $15 and $10 will be combined and each player will get a check for $12.50.

Others who finished 17-3 and their tie-breaker guesses are: Margaret Gleason, 35; Juan Herrera, 40; Lionel Gleason, 42; Sylvia Joos, 42; Brice Legan, 54; Eliseo Rocha Jr., 55, and Norma Lucio had a tie-breaker guess of 60 points.
