Early voting continues at slow pace, ends Nov. 1

Early voting for the constitutional amendments election is running at a snail’s pace.

A total of 104 county voters  cast ballots during the first four days of early voting.

‘So far it’s been very slow,’ said County Clerk Irene Gumula. ‘It’s normal. They just don’t come out for the amendments election – unless there’s a hot topic.’

County residents may vote early through Friday, Nov. 1, at any of four locations.

The polls are at the following locations and times;

County Courthouse, Suite 203, 802 Houston St., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sundown City Hall, 809 S. Slaughter Ave. – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Anton City Hall, 409 Spade Circle, Anton – 8 a.m.-noon, 1-5 p.m.

Ropesville Senior Citizens building, 107 Hockley Main, Ropesville – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Regular balloting will be on  Nov. 5.
