Polls open on Tuesday for amendments election

Hockley County voters will go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5, to cast ballots on nine constitutional amendments.

All polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters must go to the polls in their precincts to participate in the  election.
The polling places are:

Precinct 14 – Ropesville City Hall, 304 Ranch Road, Ropesville.

Precinct 15 – South Smyer Co-op Gin office, Smyer.

Precincts 11, 16 – Christ United Methodist Church, 2039 S. College, Levelland.

Precinct 21 – Mallet Event Center & Arena, 2320 S. Highway 385, Levelland.

Precinct 24 – Sundown School, 801 N. School, Sundown.

Precinct 32 (33, 35, 36, 45) – Commissioners Courtroom, Hockley County Courthouse, Levelland.

Precinct 43 – Whitharral Lions Club building, Second Street and U.S. Highway 385, Whitharral.

Precinct 44 – Anton City Hall, 400 Spade Circle, Anton.

Precinct 46 – Smyer Elementary Library, 401 Lincoln, Smyer.

Residents should have their voter card with them or a valid form of identification such as a driver’s license.

Voters had cast a total of 373 ballots in early voting as of mid-afternoon Friday.
