Voter turnout at the polls was light Tuesday in Hockley County for the constitutional amendments election.
County voters approved all nine amendments, including No. 6, the water fund issue which garnered statewide attention.
A total of 892 registered voters participated in the election, which included 405 ballots that were cast early.
Those who participated in this election were less than 10 percent of the registered voters in Hockley County.
‘It’s normal – real low votes’ on an amendments election, said County Clerk Irene Gumula.
The results of the election were in and had been tabulated before 8:30 p.m.
