Convicted felon Tony Carrasco faces another prison sentence after a jury found him guilty Tuesday of burglarizing a woman’s home last year.
A jury of 11 women and one man deliberated for 16 minutes before declaring Carrasco guilty of burglary of a habitation.
He was scheduled to appear before District Judge Pat Phelan for sentencing this morning.
The defendant was charged with breaking into the Denver Avenue home of Heather White on Oct. 14, 2012.
A television, jewelry and other items were taken in the burglary.
White said she had worked that afternoon and came home to find that the front door had been kicked in.
The victim told the jury that her flat-screen television in the living room had been ‘messed with,’ while items in the master bedroom had been dumped on a bed.
White said she did not know the defendant.
