Candidate touts less spending by feds

Dr. Donald  May believes the federal government is too big and too involved in the lives of people. Period.

A candidate for the District 19 seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, May brought his  campaign of limiting the federal government and repealing Obamacare to South Plains College on Tuesday.

He said the biggest problem in the U.S. Congress today is ‘Republican cowardice.’

‘The biggest problem that we’ve had in the last hundred years since Woodrow Wilson is that people go up there (Washington, D.C.) and say, ‘We’re going to get along, we’re going to compromise. We’re going to do this and that,’ May  said.  ‘We’re going to do the government’s work,’ and what happens is when you compromise with the devil, you keep moving to the left.’
People who are elected to Congress ‘become important’ and their job is to ‘remain important and get re-elected.’
