County commissioners accepted a property bid and a fire service agreement in a routine meeting Monday.
The officials accepted a $1,000 bid from Jessie Coronado for a property in the 400 block of Brownlee in Whitharral.
Commissioner Tommy Clevenger said the bid was a good one.
‘It’s a good deal,’ Clevenger said. ‘It’s been valued at $1,000.’
He made a motion to accept the bid. It was endorsed by the three other commissioners.
The property has been off the tax rolls.
After some discussion, commissioners agreed to pay between $120,000 and $140,000 a year for fire service with the City of Levelland.
