LEDC approves $150,000 amendment for lawsuit

The Levelland Economic Development Corporation approved a $150,000 budget amendment Monday, one that will fund a current lawsuit.

Board members OK’d the amendment after meeting in executive session for about 90 minutes.

Elgin Conner, board vice president, made the motion to approve the amendment.

It passed unanimously with no discussion.

The amendment was approved by the Levelland City Council on Monday night.

Shawn Kirkpatrick, LEDC executive director, said the organization does not expect to spend all of the funds in the current budget year, which ends Sept. 30.
