Commissioners approve purchase by Sheriff’s Office
County commissioners approved a requisition from the Sheriff’s Office on Monday to buy radio repeaters for vehicles.
Capt. Nolan Seaton told commissioners that the original amount approved for the repeaters was $15,377.
But some good repeaters were found and the county does not need as many as originally thought.
The cost of installing new repeaters, re-installing others and other work came in at $6,796, Seaton said.
Commissioners OK’d the requisition, which will come out of the Sheriff’s Office’s capital outlay budget.
Commissioners approved a memorandum of understanding for data exchange and the continuation of care between the county jail and the StarCare Specialty Health System.
