A recent survey found something that many people already know: Levelland is a great place to live.
The survey by MovotoBlog – the Lighter Side of Real Estate ranked Levelland as the 3rd best place in Texas with a population of over 10,000.
It relied on seven criteria in ranking the 10 best cities in the Lone Star state.
Quality of life (cost of living, median home price, median rent, median household income and student-to-teacher ratio).
Tax rates (sales tax and income tax).
Levelland ranked well in the analysis for its relatively low cost of living – a 78, compared to the average of 100. The city had a low student-to-teacher ratio of 13 to 1.
It also had some of the best weather in the state.
Levelland had an average summer temperature of 77 and an air quality score of a low 26. It also had low humidity.
