Students attending Levelland High School this fall will find more career choices available than have been offered before.
Levelland Independent School District will use its partnership with South Plains College to serve its students in the areas of academics and career and technical education.
Whether a student’s interests are in cosmetology, welding, automotive, or preparation for a earning a 4-year degree, LISD will strive to meet students’ needs and move them forward even before they graduate from high school.
With the new graduation plan outlined in House Bill 5 and approved in the 83rd Legislative session, students will have more opportunities to follow their interests.
‘The new ëFoundation Plan’ will offer students some choices,’ says Heidi Blair, director of Curriculum and Technology. ‘Students currently enrolled in high school will continue on the 4×4 Plan’, taking four specific courses in English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies.
