Storms produce little moisture

Scattered thunderstorms dropped up to .40 of an inch of rain in some areas this past weekend.

However, many communities received little or no moisture.

Only a trace of rain fell in downtown Levelland, but .30 of an inch was reported off FM 3261, just south of the intersection of Cactus Drive, said Paul Pinkert.

Alfred Thompson said that .40 of an inch of rain fell in Ropesville.

United Cotton Growers, located at Arnett, received .30 of an inch of precipitation.

Both Sundown and Whiteface got about a tenth of an inch of rain, according to weather correspondents.

Elsewhere, sprinkles were reported at Anton, Whitharral and north of Smyer.
