U.S. marshals arrested a Levelland man and seized 57 grams of methamphetamine Tuesday from an Avenue F residence.
Joshua Lee Cardona, 25, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Marshals, assisted by city police, executed an arrest warrant shortly before noon at 406 Ave. F.
Lawmen saw contraband inside the home and received permission to search the home. They found the meth in the living room. They also recovered a handgun and some cash.
Agents with the North Texas Fugitive Task Force served the warrant.
Law enforcement officers blocked off Avenue F between Fourth and Fifth streets for more than an hour while other officers searched a residence.
A male subject, a woman and a child who were at the scene were released.
The Levelland Police Department provided support for the arrest, according to Sgt. Mike Webb.
The street value of the drug was estimated at nearly $6,000.
