Covenant Gala

A Medieval Masquerade Ball will set the theme Saturday, Sept. 20, when the 14th Annual Covenant Foundation Levelland  Gala is held here.
The fund-raiser will be staged from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Mallet Event Center, 2320 S. U.S. Highway 385.
The event will feature live and silent auctions, a meal catered by Abuelo’s and live music.
Four buffet serving lines will  offer diners a choice of ribeye steak or chicken breast marinated with a special spicy sauce. Fresh  greens with strawberries and pecans will also complement the meal. Creamy red mashed potatoes and spicy cream-style corn will add zest to the meal.
Bread pudding with a creamy sherry sauce and whipped topping or key lime pie will complete the meal. Tea, water and a cash bar will provide a variety of refreshments during the evening.
A Silent Auction will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m.
Some of the items up for bid  will include a football autographed by Kliff Kingsbury,  handcrafted jewelry, a bistro set, crosses, a ‘West Texas Sunset’ print an end table and a designer purse.
The live auction will be from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Items up for auction include a suede waist length jacket, an Avondale desk, a braided bracelet with red sapphires, four NASCAR tickets and chainsaw carving.
Gala spotters for the live auction will include Chad Read, Mark Holcomb, Mike Crafton, Jerry McManus, Nick Williams and Eddie Stephenson.
