Pink Out The Stadium

Friday night was Pink Out The Stadium in Levelland’s Lobo Stadium. Fans were asked to wear the pink shirts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. In conjunction with the theme, Grounds Superintendent Pete Riggs decided it would be neat to paint the Lobo’s Double L’s in Pink on the 50-yard-line in the middle of the field. To his knowledge, it is the first time that has been done in Lobo Stadium. Riggs was assisted by Matt Parsons in laying out the design with stencils and then filling them in with pink paint. They were then outlined with white paint. Parts of the white 50-yard line were also outlined in pink. The two men were pleased with their work when they were finished. The Levelland Student Council members sold pink shirts in early October and presented a donation of approximately $1,500 to the Susan B. Komen Laugh for the Cure Friday before the football game.
