The Levelland school board approved a one-time incentive payment of $300 for all LISD employees Monday.
Trustees took that action after school Supt. Kelly Baggett recommended its approval.
Earlier this year, trustees agreed to reserve $150,000 as a conditional incentive payment for both professional and auxiliary personnel.
‘We’ve done this over the past few years,’ Baggett said. ‘We are asking you to consider this tonight.’
The school board did not approve any pay raises for district employees during budget talks this past summer.
On a motion made by DeEtte Edens, the board unanimously approved the action.
A land purchase for a new location for the FFA ag farm fell apart when the board learned that the property is in a FEMA 100-year flood zone.
