Commissioners approve plans for building renovation

Hockley County Commissioners authorized final engineering and planning for its Avenue H building and awarded a bid for the delivery of caliche for road construction on Cactus Drive during its meeting Monday morning.

Commissioners toured the 624 Avenue H building and discussed revisions to preliminary plans with Larry Harvey and Shahnaz Talukder with ChapmanHarvey Architects, Inc. and Jacob Kirkland, project manager with Teinert Commercial Building Services, before conducting its business meeting.
