Exhibitors excel at Hockley County Junior Livestock Show

In spite of the winter weather and snow on the ground, the Hockley County Junior Livestock Show headed toward a successful ending Thursday afternoon.

The main item on the schedule was the annual hog show which kicked off at 9 a.m. 

The goat, lamb, rabbit, heifer and steer shows were held Wednesday. And the stock show sale was slated Saturday afternoon.

Barrow Show

The Grand Champion Barrow, a Hampshire, was exhibited by Sundown 4-H member Haven Wisdom.

The Reserve Grand Champion Barrow, a Hampshire, was shown by Levelland FFA member Brittan Dobson.

Mark Buxkemper, a Levelland FFA student, showed the champion Berkshire.

Levelland FFA member Max Vergara, had the reserve champion berk.

Ropes FFA member Kallie Ketchersid had the champion Chester.

The reserve Chester was shown by Ropes FFA student Kinley Terry.

Haven Wisdom showed the breed champion Cross.
