Isolated thunderstorms dropped hail and light rain on parts of the county Thursday evening.
The storms left ìsoft hailî on the ground south of Levelland, said producer R.H. Reaves.
While the hail didnít cover the ground, it partially filled a coffee cup on the front seat of his pickup truck, Reaves said.
He estimated that several tenths of an inch of rain fell at his home.
The fast-moving storms left little moisture elsewhere.
Sprinkles fell in Sundown while Ropesville got a trace amount of moisture.
Bill Wheeler said he got a tenth of an inch of rain and pea-sized hail at his Smyer home.
The National Weather Service called for increased rain chances in the city Saturday afternoon and into the evening.
