Destination imagination team ranks high at global

The Destination Imagination team that recently traveled to Tennessee fared well in the global competition there.

The members of the Sea Bears came in 11th place among the 75 teams that participated in the global contest in Knoxville, Tenn.

More than 8,000 students participated, including students from 17 countries, said Debra Burnett, high school librarian.

The team comprised of Bryson Hill, Caleb Johnson, Joel White, Olivia Riley, Maci French, Alex French and Brayden Price had to come up with a ìthree-partî skit in the area of Improv.

‘We had a minute to plan and two minutes to perform. It was pretty quick,’ said Riley. ‘It was a lot of fun because you had to incorporate it with everything you did.’

This was the third time for DI teams from Levelland ISD to compete at the global level.
