Police arrest man, seize five ounces of meth

A man stopped for a moving violation Sunday evening was jailed after police found more than five ounces of methamphetamine in his possession.

Dewey James Gragson, 43, of Levelland was arraigned for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, 4-200 grams, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and no driverís license.

Justice of the Peace Linda Canon set bonds totaling $26,000.

Gragson remained in custody Tuesday morning.

Two officers were driving on Avenue F when they saw a pickup truck in front of them. Gragson apparently failed to use his signals as he turned east. He was stopped in the 600 block of Ninth Street.
