Grad jury indicts nine people in Morton

A grand jury indicted nine people Tuesday in Morton on charges that included burglary, possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest.

Justin Lopez, 21, of Morton was indicted for possession of a controlled substance.

Lopez was charged with having less than a gram of methamphetamine in his possession on Sept. 9, 2014.

He was also indicted for burglary of a habitation.

Randy Hall came home March 22 and saw Lopez struggling to get the back door open. He tried to grab Lopez, who eluded him and ran away. Hall chased him in his pickup truck but lost him.

Deputies found that someone had used a pry bar to get inside the victimís home. Clothing was taken from Hallís home, according to records.

Terry Carter Wright, 27, of Levelland was indicted for possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest.
