Strong thunderstorms dumped heavy rainfall amounts on much of the county Monday night into Tuesday morning.
The heaviest rain fell in the central and south portions of the county.
Ropesville got 1.7 inches of rain, but 3 inches fell west of the town, said Alfred Thompson.
Three inches of rain soaked the north side of Sundown while the south side received two inches, according to city officials.
Rainfall in Levelland ranged from 1.6 inches in the Country Club Addition to 2.5 inches downtown.
Arnett got 1.6 inches of rain, including a tenth of an inch that fell after 7 p.m., said Lucretia Gresham.
