A construction bid of $49,852 was accepted Monday morning for repairs to the high school parking lot.
Levelland ISD trustees approved the bid from Robert McHam during a special meeting that was called for an emergency resolution.
McHam was the low bidder for the work while Thrasher Inc. of Plainview came in with a bid of $78,070.
Supt. Jeff Northern said the project will replace pavement near the northwest corner of the high school that has been damaged by heavy rains this summer.
It will involve removing concrete, asphalt and dirt and pouring new concrete six inches deep. It will be 22 feet wide and will extend 300 feet north from the building. Excess water will drain into a culvert and go into a playa lake.
