A fast-moving thunderstorm hit Anton with rain, hail and high winds Wednesday evening.
The storm dumped .80 of an inch of rain in the city, according to Mayor Blake Cate.
Hail ranging in size from peas to quarters fell in the community, said City Secretary Lisa Davidson.
Lightning apparently knocked out the air conditioning system in her home.
Wind gusts peaking at nearly 60 mph hit the community at 5:40 p.m.
