Drivers are urged to slow down and watch for students Monday, when the new school year starts here and elsewhere.
Approximately 3,100 students are expected to start classes in the Levelland Independent School District.
One big change will be at Cactus Academic Center.
More than 400 fourth- and fifth-grade students will attend the school on Cactus Drive while workers spend the 2015-16 school year remodeling Levelland Intermediate School.
Having all of those students at Cactus Academic Center will lead to a lot more traffic congestion.
‘Be patient with Cactus because Intermediate students will be dropped off and picked up,’ said Rodney Caddell, director of personnel/administrative services, adding that drivers need to be aware of buses picking up and discharging students.
