Trial nixed when plea agreement reached
The trial of a Levelland man that was scheduled to start Wednesday was cancelled when a plea agreement was reached late Tuesday.
Richard Kindrick, 38, was sentenced to 15 months in a state jail facility and fined $500 after he pleaded guilty to burglary of a building, according to records.
Kindrick was indicted last December for entering a building owned by Enrique Morin in June 2014.
Police found him hiding in a room in the old oil mill on Texas 114 the night of June 27, 2014. He had more than a gram of methamphetamine in his possession at the time.
Records showed that Kindrick had been arrested before for such offenses as burglary of a vehicle, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance 1-4 grams and theft $50-500.
