Robber hit second store

Two people, possibly the same suspects in an armed holdup this past weekend, robbed the Dollar General store here Monday night.

No one was injured and the suspects got away with an estimated $1,093 in cash.

A man and a woman entered the College Avenue business shortly before 10 p.m. The man brandished what appeared to be a long kitchen knife and ordered two employees to give him money.

The man reached over the counter and grabbed a money bag from one employee. He then told  the two women to get on the floor and stay there for five minutes, or he would shoot them. The bandit never displayed a firearm, a report said.

The man and his accomplice left the store, got in a dark car and drove away.
