Hockley County voters approved all seven constitutional amendments during balloting here Tuesday.
Voter turnout was light, with a total of 1,253 people casting ballots. That included 650 people who voted early.
Approximately 10 percent of the 12,526 voters in the county went to the polls.
Despite the absence of large numbers of voters, the issues in the amendments generated some interest, said Election Administrator Cheryl Smart.
‘I actually thought it was pretty good for an amendments election,’ Smart said of voter participation.
Balloting went smoothly and the results of the election were available shortly after 8:30 p.m.
