Local school districts wrapped up sending enrollment figures to the state this week for the University Interscholastic Leagueís realignment process for 2016.
Barring any great swings in student numbers, most districts will probably remain the same when it comes to classifications for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 years.
Levelland ISD submitted an enrollment of 813 students to the state.
Supt. Jeff Northern said it is unlikely that LISDís classification will change from its current Class 4A Division 1 category.
‘I don’t anticipate that it will affect us,’ Northern said. ìThe only way is if somebody dropped or came up.’
LISD currently plays such schools as Estacado, Seminole, Pampa and Borger.
