Former deputy makes bid for constable’ post

Former deputy Kevin L. Elmore says he is a candidate for the office of constable in Precinct 2.
The Sundown man is running as a Republican.

‘I am fully eligible and qualified for the position as a licensed peace officer, and having served as the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office deputy in Sundown for eight years,’ Elmore said. ‘I have substantial experience with civil and criminal process, and a significant history of conducting criminal investigations.’

He currently works in information technology at Covenant Hospital Levelland, and has also worked for such IT-related companies as Perot Systems and Dell.

Elmore is a lifelong county resident and he has served in law enforcement here for more than 12 years.

He was a volunteer firefighter in Levelland and also served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant.

He also worked in the oilfield and has many friends who still do. He and his family own and operate a small farm with livestock.
