The congregation of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pep will host their 70th annual Thanksgiving Festival on Thursday, Nov. 26, at the church hall.
The Pep community traditionally gives thanks by celebrating with a meal of Pepsís famous German sausage, turkey and dressing with all the trimmings.
In 1945, Pep had a community Thanksgiving Day meal in celebration of the safe return of all the young men who had served in the military during WWII.
Members of the church have continued this celebration in the form of a festival as a means of raising funds for church expenses.
The self-serve dinner will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The cost for adult plates is $12 and it is $6 for children under the age of six.
