A man was arrested and the baby he took by force was found unharmed early Sunday morning at a rural residence.
Cornelio Zepeda Delgado, 29, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and theft of property.
Bonds totaled .$71,000.
Phoenix G. Mason, age six weeks, was found unharmed, according to police.
Authorities began looking for Delgado after he forced his way into an Avenue J home early Thanksgiving Day afternoon.
Two women and a man were inside the home when Delgado came to the door, knocked and demanded that the motherís baby give him the child. The door was closed and Delgado began beating on it. He then used a baseball bat to knock out a piece of plywood covering a window and crawled inside.
Once inside, he allegedly struck a woman twice in the back with his bat, chased a man outside and beat him. He went back inside, hit the mother in the face and took the baby, a report said.
Delgado grabbed the child, ran outside, got in a black sport utility vehicle driven by a man and left.
Law enforcement officers began looking for Delgado but were unable to find him.
An Amber Alert was issued for the missing baby Saturday night.
