Sales tax payments went up this month for many local governments in Texas, but they fell for Levelland, Sundown and some other area towns.
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar sent $731.7 million this month to cities, counties and other recipients, which was up 1.2 percent from November 2014.
Cities netted $482 million for the period, or up 1.8 percent in a yearís time.
The $42.8 million that counties received was down 6.9 percent compared to last November.
Transit systems earned a total of $163.9 million for an average gain of 2 percent, while the $43 million that went to special purpose taxing districts was down 0.1 percent.
Sales tax revenue for the state in October was $2.28 billion, or off 5.4 percent.
