Authorities are investigating a case in which objects were thrown at passing vehicles last week in Ropesville, including one that injured a U.S. Postal Service employee.
Henry Anaya Jr. of Carlsbad, N.M., was injured at about 12 a.m. Nov. 25 when a four-pound lead weight crashed through a window of his vehicle, striking him on the side of his face.
A Levelland EMS ambulance transported Anaya to University Medical Center in Lubbock, where he was treated and released, according to the Hockley County Sheriffís Office.
The incident occurred near the intersection of U.S. Highway 62/82 and Roundup Street.
