A man was arrested and the baby he took by force was found unharmed early Sunday at a rural residence.
Cornelio Zepeda Delgado, 29, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and theft of property.
Bonds totaled $71,000.
Phoenix G. Mason, age six weeks, was found unharmed, according to police.
Authorities began looking for Delgado after he forced his way into an Avenue J home early Thanksgiving Day afternoon. He is the babyís biological father.
Two women and a man were inside the home when Delgado came to the door, knocked and demanded that the babyís mother, his ex-girlfriend, give him the child. The door was closed and Delgado began beating on it. He then used a baseball bat to knock out a piece of plywood covering a window and crawled inside.
Once inside, he allegedly struck a woman twice in the back with his bat, chased a man outside and beat him. He went back inside, hit the mother in the face and took the baby, a report said.
Delgado grabbed the child, ran outside, got in a black sport utility vehicle driven by a man and left.
