Curtis Thrash would like the opportunity to continue serving the residents of Precinct 1.
Thrash is running for re-election to a third term as county commissioner.
The incumbent says he is familiar with the problem of poor road conditions in his precinct.
‘We are grading up roads right now. Four and a half years of drought did not help us,’ he said.
‘You cannot build up roads with dry dirt, and thatís what we’ve dealt with.’
Dry dirt will not stay together, but significant rainfall this year has changed the situation.
‘We’ve had the moisture and we’re grading,’ he said. ‘Our objective is to grade up to April. As long as the weather will permit me to be in the ditch, we are going.’
