A city board voted Thursday to sell a half acre of land in the Levelland Industrial Rail Park to Norton Drilling.
The property, which is 60-feet wide, is next to the rail line and about the length of the former knitting mill off Industrial Drive.
The Levelland Economic Development Corporation board authorized staff to sell the property for $9,000.
It will allow Norton Drilling owner Jay Norton to access property that he owns on both sides of the former knitting mill.
‘He needs access to his property,’ said John Clary, LEDC executive director.
Board members also authorized Clary to lease a 25-foot wide strip north of the building for $300 a month for a three-month period.
