Questions on immigration, terrorism, education and the role of the federal government were fielded here Tuesday during a forum of congressional candidates.
Eight individuals vying to be the Republican Party nominee for the 19th Congressional District answered a range of questions during a forum sponsored by KJTV Fox and the college.
The questions, which included ones from a faculty member and students, were answered under time constraints that ranged from 30 to 60 seconds.
Some of the queries were core questions while others were student and individual questions.
They included the following:
1) What does fighting terrorism mean?
2) Do you believe the federal government has a key role in making college more affordable than it currently is.
3) Since most of you claim to be Christians, how has your faith influenced your position on undocumented immigrants?
